Jaipur: IPLSunrisers Hyderabad lost to Rajasthan Royals at their home ground. In the first match of this season, Sunrisers snatched victory at their home ground against Ryan Parag’s team. And Rajasthan lost at their home ground in Jaipur on Saturday. Even with 228 runs on the board, the Royals could not win. Ishan Kishan and Abhishek Sharma scored half-centuries to ensure the victory for the team.
Batting first, Rajasthan Royals scored 228 runs after losing 6 wickets. Vaibhav Suryavanshi alone played an innings of 103 runs for the team. With his second century of his IPL career, he gave a glimpse of Radasthan’s score crossing the two-hundred mark. Dhruv Khilal’s fifty along with Vaibhav was one of the reasons Rajasthan got a big score on the board. However, Abhishek Sharma started the game by countering to chase the run. This match was basically a fight between the openers of the two teams who would ace whom. Although Abhishek could not play a hundred innings, he played a 29-ball 57-run innings. 1 over boundary and 11 boundaries come from his bat. However, Ishan Kishan was more aggressive today than Abhishek. Pat Cummins returned and did not have to shoulder the pressure of leadership. He batted with an open mind. And he ensured the victory of the team. The innings of 74 runs off 31 balls was decorated with 11 boundaries and 3 sixes.

Travis Head did not get a run on the day. He returned to the pavilion with just 6 runs. However, it was Ishaan who paired up with Abhishek later. After Abhishek got out again, Nitish Reddy played a cameo innings in the lower order. Heinrich Klaasen played an innings of 29 runs off 24 balls. And Reddy scored 36 runs off 18 balls with the help of 2 boundaries and 3 sixes. In the end, Sunrisers picked up the required runs to win in 18.3 overs. On the other hand, among the Rajasthan bowlers, Jofra Archer and Brijesh Sharma took two wickets each.
