He said, ‘BCCI is going to implement new rules. Movement of players will be controlled. Unauthorized persons will not be allowed to meet the players at the hotel or on the team bus. It is heard that the officials of the anti-corruption wing of the board have allowed some players to stay with girlfriends, as their relationship is known to all and not a secret to anyone. This senior BCCI official said that they are not aware of this ‘official girlfriend’ rule and there is no such rule in the board’s policy. Players will only be allowed to be accompanied by spouses or family members under special circumstances.
