The former India captain’s security has been cut. After the change in the state, many political leaders and MPs are angry about security. This time the security of former Indian cricket team captain and CAB president Sourav Gangopadhyay has been reduced.
Sourav used to get the security of ‘Z category’ till now. Now it has been reduced by two steps. Sourav will get ‘Y Category’ security from now.
What is the difference between the two types of security? At least 35 people are in charge of security in ‘Z Category’. State police commandos live in it. Besides, there are pilot cars in the state government’s ‘Z category’.
It is known that until now 8 to 10 policemen were in charge of Saurabh’s security. The former cricketer of the country would get the security of ‘Y category’ till the middle of 2023. At that time, three members of the Special Branch of the Kolkata Police were guarding him. Policemen were also deployed for security at Sourav’s house. However, in May 2023, his security was increased to ‘Z category’ by the then Trinamool Congress government. That was in force until now.
