Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bowl. Batting first, India were bowled out for 265 in 49.2 overs. Suryansh Shedge played the highest innings of 72 runs for the team. Bipraj Nigam also scored 51 runs.
In pursuit of runs, Sri Lanka scored 265 runs after losing 9 wickets in the allotted overs. Thus the match was tied. Then Super Over is played to decide the result.
Batting first in the Super Over, Sri Lanka scored 16 runs. Arshad Khan bowled the over for India. India needed 17 runs to win. Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Suryangsh Shedge who entered the field could score only 9 runs.
