Lucknow: The target in front was 403 runs, to chase this huge number of runs required unusually good batting, and required a big innings. However, despite many of Afghanistan’s batsmen getting off to a good start against India in Lucknow, none except Rahmat Shah managed to score big runs. The pace of the run was not sky-high either. But after that Shubman Gill formed an excellent partnership first with Rohit Sharma and then with Ishan Kishan. India are on the hill of runs in Lucknow thanks to these two partnerships and impeccable centuries from Ishan and Gill. Batting first, Team India was bowled out for 402 runs with one ball remaining. Gill 154 and Ishan Kishan played an innings of 125 runs to build the foundation of victory. Fast bowlers including Arshdeep built the building of victory on that ground.
