They also gave a letter to Indranil Khan. The letter which has given the message of clean CAB in Chhatra. Abhishek did not directly name the CAB even though he bombarded various corruptions in Maidan such as giving opportunities to players in exchange of money, trying to cover up the allegations without proper investigation. But in the letter that Sourav gave to the sports minister on Wednesday, Abhishek’s hint towards the cricket administration of the state has been practically accepted. Efforts have been made to the Sports Minister to establish that the CAB administration is completely error-free, sparkling. Stop pretending that this has not happened. It is unrealistic to claim that nothing like this happened. The real question is whether we have the courage and the means to deal with them.’
Abhishek said that there should be a transparent procedure for reporting complaints. Wrote, ‘Players, parents, coaches and officials must have the freedom to report corruption without fear. If someone takes advantage by giving fake identity cards, documents or by depriving the locals, then the truth must come out. Forging a fake identity card is not only illegal, it’s a crime. It should be dealt with through legal means.’
Abhishek pointed to what a section of the CAB thinks is the scurrilous complaints of players from foreign states playing local cricket with fake identity cards.
During his tenure as CAB president, he was uncompromising and deported around 50 people for indulging in unethical activities, Abhishek reiterated.
