He was 78 years old at the time of his death. Yashpal Rana’s family is really broken by the death of 2 family members within a month. Coincidentally, Shyamadevi passed away on Sunday, June 28. And this day is the birth anniversary of Yashpal Rana. Yashpal Rana’s mother Shyamadevi passed away on the day of her late child’s 50th birth anniversary.
Note that Yashpal Rana passed away on June 12. Yashpal Rana fell ill while returning from the Shooting World Cup in Munich. He was rushed to Delhi Hospital where he was undergoing treatment. But the legendary shooter breathed his last at the age of 49 on June 12. Manu Bhaker won a pair of medals at the Paris Olympics under the coaching of Yashpal Rana. The sports world mourned his death. Doctors said that Yashpal’s mother became more and more mentally broken after her son’s death. Finally Shyamadevi died due to heart attack. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed his deepest condolences to the rest of the family and prayed for the repose of the late Shyama Devi’s soul in this difficult time of bereavement.

It is noted that Yashpal Rana was one of the best athletes of the country who represented India. The late shooter won nine golds, four silvers and two bronzes, a total of 15 titles, at the Commonwealth Games for the country. He also won four gold and one silver medal at the Asian Games.
