Manchester: It took a long time to establish his place in the national team. Sanju Samson’s long wait, struggle seemed to be finally over. Samson was the best of the series for the Indian team that won the T20 World Cup earlier this year. However, after only a few months and two series, Samson was left out of the national team’s eleven again.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi made his much-awaited debut for the Indian team in the second T20I against England in Manchester (IND vs ENG). But Samson was dropped on the day of Vaibhav’s debut. After innings of five, zero and one against Ireland and England, the Indian team decided to replace Samson with Vaibhav. As a section of cricket lovers rejoiced for Vaibhav’s debut in that decision, another group also expressed disappointment as Samson was left out once again.

A video of the conversation between Samson and Indian head coach Gautam Gambhir on the field has gone viral. The video is claimed to be after the announcement of India’s XI. It is seen that initially Samson was leaving after hugging Gambhir once. But the Indian coach instead stopped him and discussed something with him in a very excited manner. However, it was not clear what Samson and Gambhir were talking about in the viral video. But this video, especially after Samson was dropped from the team, caught everyone’s attention.

However, Vaibhav, who got a chance instead of Samson, did not get a big run that day. He hit two sixes but could not score more than 14 runs off 10 balls. On this day, the Indian team scored 190 runs for seven wickets in the scheduled 20 overs. In reply, England got off to a terrible start, but Jacob Bethel’s blistering half-century and Tom Banton’s aggressive 39 saw them reach the target with an over to spare.
