Bristol: A battle to keep India’s 14-year record intact. India has never lost a T20I series against England. India trailed 0-2 after the first three matches in the current five-match series. The first match was marred by rain. Team India has to win the remaining two matches to save the series.
The fourth T20 match of the series started at 10 pm Indian time on Thursday. India won the toss and decided to bat. However, before entering the field in that match, Team India suffered a major setback. Two stars were knocked out due to injury. Forced to exclude them, India had to enter the field in a life-death match.
Later, the Indian Cricket Board announced in a statement that Harshit Rana and Varun Chakraborty – both are out with hamstring injuries. Among them, Harshit Rana has recently returned to the national team after recovering from a knee injury. IPLHe could not play. He was injured again. Wonder spinner Varun Chakraborty is also unable to play at Trent Bridge. The Indian Cricket Board has said in a statement that the medical team of the national team has checked and said that the two cricketers will not be able to play in the remaining two matches.
