The video of the entire incident was uploaded on social media by a man named Ben Mammari and according to him it is one of the worst cheating cases in cricket. He alleged that the Saltburn keeper has taken too many catches this season. The accused in the whole incident is already being called ‘Clicky Ponting’ after the former Australian cricketer. After the uproar over the incident, the North Yorkshire and South Durham Cricket League promised to investigate the incident.
Mammari said he was satisfied as the whole incident went viral. He is heard saying, ‘I am really happy that this whole matter has come to the fore. This is not cricket. Let the severest punishment be given for this.’
