Donald Trump Board of Peace: The Gaza Board of Peace, which US President Donald Trump had invited 60 countries including India, Pakistan and Italy to join, has now become controversial. After France, Norway, Canada and Sweden refused to join it, now such a country is going to be included in Trump’s board, which is shocking. In fact, Russia has said that it is ready to participate in this forum of Donald Trump. However, Russian President Vladimir Putin has also said something which is very interesting.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that Russia is ready to cooperate in efforts for peace and reconstruction after the Ukraine war. He told that the amount of 1 billion US dollars that has to be paid for its membership can be deducted by America and Russia from their frozen foreign assets. The interesting thing is that Russia is talking about those frozen assets, which are to be used in the reconstruction of war-ravaged areas of Ukraine after the Russia-Ukraine peace agreement.
What was Vladimir Putin’s whole thing?
Putin said these things in the televised meeting of Russia’s Security Council late on Wednesday night. His statement has come at a time when America’s special envoy is going to reach Moscow soon and talks are expected to take place regarding the solution to the Ukraine war. This is the first time Putin has publicly acknowledged that Russia may consider using its frozen assets for post-war reconstruction and international peace initiatives. In such a situation, the hope increases that they are maintaining a positive attitude towards the peace agreement.

Putin said- ‘Incidentally, the remaining amount of our frozen assets in America can be used for the reconstruction of the areas affected by the fighting after the peace treaty between Russia and Ukraine.’ He also told that discussions are going on with representatives of the American administration on this subject.
Has Putin really joined Trump’s club?
The Board of Peace is an initiative of US President Donald Trump that aims to monitor ceasefires and peace agreements, including in conflict zones such as Gaza. Putin said that Russia can consider giving $ 1 billion from Russia’s frozen assets for this board and this issue will also be discussed with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
- The freezing of Russian assets has been a controversial issue since the start of the Ukraine war and Russia has consistently opposed it.
- Putin also confirmed that US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are scheduled to arrive in Moscow for talks on a political solution to the Ukraine war. He said that the possible use of Russian frozen assets will also be discussed in these talks.
- Putin also talked about Trump’s invitation in which Russia was asked to join the Board of Peace. He clarified that no final decision has been taken on this yet and the Ministry of External Affairs has been instructed to review the proposal. This will be answered later.
According to news agency Reuters, Putin said that the main objective of the Board of Peace is currently related to the peace process in the Middle East. Earlier, Trump had claimed that Putin has accepted this proposal, but the Russian President made it clear that it is only under consideration.

What is Gaza Board of Peace?
Board of Peace is an initiative of US President Donald Trump. Its main objective is to enforce ceasefire in conflict-torn areas like Gaza, monitor peace agreements and keep an eye on the post-war reconstruction process. The objectives of the Board of Peace are as follows –
- Help in implementing and maintaining any ceasefire between Israel and Palestinian factions in Gaza.
- Monitoring whether the agreements made by the parties are being followed or not.
- Ensuring safe supply of relief materials, medicines and essential services.
- Reconstruction of war-ravaged infrastructure and monitoring the use of funds.
The way Donald Trump has invited countries around the world to join it, it was being speculated that he was preparing for an international organization that could stand at par with the United Nations Security Council. In this, a fee of 1 billion US dollars has been fixed for permanent membership. However, there is no fee at the entry level.
