this question News18hindi A person working in a multinational company has sent it on WhatsApp group. whose answer Dr. Parneesh Arora, Director, Interventional Cardiology at Medanta Hospital Noida. Has given. If you have any question then you can contact us through this WhatsApp link or this number. https://wa.me/+918076349631 You can send it to us, we will take answers from expert doctors of the country and send them to you. At present we know the answer to the above question..

Dr. Parneesh Arora explains, ‘Yes, it often happens that people consider the pain as a warning sign of heart attack as gastric pain. This happens because the place where this pain occurs is common. That means it occurs in the upper part of the stomach, where heart pain and gastric pain can also occur. So generally, after feeling pain, it is difficult to differentiate whether it is gastric pain or cardiac pain, but there are some other symptoms by which it can be identified whether it is a warning sign of a heart attack.

‘If a person has not had such pain before and it has happened suddenly, also if you have a lot of discomfort with the pain, sweating, feeling very sick or feeling faint, then it may not be gastric pain but cardiac pain. If the pain continues to increase instead of decreasing, it can also be dangerous. People who have such pain repeatedly understand that it is a gastric issue, but if suddenly these symptoms start emerging along with pain, then it should be assumed that there is some problem in the heart.

He further says, if you are experiencing this kind of problem and restlessness for the first time and it is increasing, then it is important that you go to a cardiologist or to the emergency room of a hospital. It is possible that after this your ECG may be done and it may come back normal, but the cardiologist should never decide after clinical examination by doing a single ECG that it was gastric only. For this, multiple or serial ECG and cardiac enzymes-blood tests are required for at least 4 to 6 hours, so that if there is any cardiac issue, it can be known about it within these hours, because many times it happens that at first the ECG of the patient came normal and he thought that it was not a heart issue but after some time he again gets cardiac pain and gets an attack.

Therefore, it is most important to keep in mind other symptoms like excessive sweating, restlessness etc. along with pain and seek medical help in case of any problem. Do not ignore any pain, be it gastric or cardiac.
