T20 cricket is the most popular format nowadays. New records are created almost every match in this format. Such an exceptional and rare record was made by Pakistan batsman Umar Akmal. In 2015, he got three dismissals in just 24 hours in T20 cricket, a record that is still unknown to very few cricket fans.

A T20 match between Pakistan and England was played on 30 November 2015 in Sharjah. England batted first and scored 154 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Pakistan also scored 154 for 7, leading to a tie and a Super Over. Umar Akmal was dismissed for just 4 runs, batting at number six for Pakistan.

Captain Shahid Afridi allowed Umar Akmal to bat in the Super Over. Akmal could only score 1 run there and got out in the last ball. As a result, Pakistan scored only 3 runs in the super over. England easily won the match by picking up that run. Akmal was dismissed twice in this match.

After the match, Umar Akmal went to Dhaka to play Bangladesh Premier League. The next day, playing for Chittagong Vikings in the BPL, he got out again against Rangpur Riders. Thus, Umar Akmal set a rare and shameful record in T20 cricket by getting three dismissals in 24 hours, which still stands today.
