The five-match T20I series between India and New Zealand will begin at the Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) Stadium in Nagpur. Before the start of the series, some of the cricketers of the Indian team went on a jungle safari in Nagpur. The main purpose of this trip was to get away from the stress of the field and spend time in nature to get mentally fit.
A video of this jungle safari was shared on Instagram by wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson. In the video, the cricketers can be seen roaming around in the jungle on an open gypsy. They also take a tea or coffee break in between. After evening they are also seen enjoying the warmth by lighting a fire at their place of residence. The video has created a huge response on social media.
Indian team captain Suryakumar Yadav is entering the field with a great record in this series. He has not lost a series as a captain so far. Earlier, he defeated strong teams like England, Australia and South Africa. His goal now is to maintain that continuity.
Jashpreet Bumrah and Hardik Pandya are returning to strengthen the team. Ishan Kishan has returned to the team due to good performance in domestic cricket. Shreyas Iyer replaced Tilak Verma due to injury for at least three matches. Besides, spinner Ravi Bishnoi has got a chance in place of Washington Sundar.
