A person who was once forced to decide to give up life, today has become the pride of the country by winning multiple gold medals at national and international levels in powerlifting. His life struggle is an inspiration to many people today.
Gitanjali got married after completing her graduation in 2014. But the marital bliss did not last long. She broke down due to the mental and physical torture of her husband and in-laws demanding money. He tried to commit suicide twice to get rid of the unbearable pain. That period of life was shrouded in complete darkness, where one could see no hope of survival.
On the advice of the doctor, Gitanjali decided to join a sport for mental health. From there, powerlifting came into his life. The beginning was not easy. The battle of the mind was greater than the strength of the body. Every day he has to take on the difficult challenge of building himself up from breaking down. Gradually, hard work, indomitable persistence and self-confidence became the key to his success.
Today, Gitanjali Saha is not just a successful athlete, she is a symbol of fighting to survive. She has built a small gym in her house, where many girls in the area are strengthening both body and mind. His life conveys a message—no matter how deep the darkness, with courage and effort it is not impossible to find the light.
