At one time in Venezuela, it was claimed that the soldiers deployed there were targeted with sonic weapons or microwave technology, due to which they had to suffer physical and mental problems. The soldiers complained of headache, dizziness, vomiting, loud noises in the ears and restlessness. Pro-government circles held America responsible for this and called it a kind of modern psychological warfare.
However, the question arose that if such a dangerous weapon was used, then how would American soldiers remain safe? Experts had different opinions on this. Many international analysts say that no concrete scientific evidence has yet emerged to prove that sonic or microwave weapons were actually used in Venezuela.
Did America use sonic weapon?
It is also being said that this news may be related to fear, tension and rumours. In the atmosphere of political crisis and fear of a coup, the mental pressure on the soldiers increased, leading to collective illness-like symptoms. Experts call such situations mass psychogenic reaction, where fear itself causes physical effects. The United Nations or any independent agency did not confirm the use of sonic weapon in this case. Therefore, this matter is still in the realm of allegations and suspicions, and not on the basis of proven facts.

China has the best microwave air defense
China’s government defense company Norinco has developed this weapon. Hurricane-3000 is a microwave weapon mounted on a truck, which burns the electronic systems of enemy drones. There is neither any explosion nor any debris nor any noise. According to the company, this system can kill small and light drones at a distance of more than 3 kilometers. Along with this, it can do the work of a whole group of drones simultaneously. The trailer of this Brahmastra Hurricane 3000 of China was shown for the first time in the Zhuhai Air Show of the year 2024. However, in September 2025, it was presented to the world in China’s grand military parade.
