In fact, visas of more than 1 lakh foreigners have been canceled in the last year. This decision has created an atmosphere of panic not only among the immigrants living in America. There is continuous discussion going on all over the world.
If statistics are to be believed, this action is more than double that of last year. While about 40,000 visas were canceled in the year 2024, this number has increased to beyond one lakh in 2025. This is the biggest record of visa rejection in the history of America.

According to the information released by the State Department, the largest number of visa cancellations are of those ‘business and tourist’ travelers who were staying in America illegally even after their overstay period was over. But the harshest punishment of the administration has fallen on people with criminal records.

Students and skilled workers also on radar
While giving information, the US State Department wrote that till now more than 100,000 visas have been cancelled. This includes about 8,000 student visas and 2,500 special visas. The spokesperson of the department has clarified that most of the students and workers on whom this action has been taken, had faced American police or law enforcement agencies in some criminal case. We will continue to deport these criminals to keep America safe.
