Know whether Grape 3 or Grape 4 is applicable in DelhiDelhi AQI and Grap-4: Both cold and pollution are increasing rapidly in Delhi. On one hand, fog and cold wave are increasing, while on the other hand, the air quality index has reached the severe category due to it being more than 450. Due to which people are suffocating in the air of Delhi and when they step out of the house, not only the lungs but every part of the body is getting damaged. However, people are facing even greater problems regarding the stages of the Graded Action Plan in Delhi. Sometimes Grap-4 is being installed here and sometimes it is being removed. In such a situation, due to the gray stage, there is confusion among the people whether to take BS-4 vehicles inside Delhi or not.
It has been said in the order that winters are coming and now the weather is not favorable all the time, therefore even though the restrictions of Grap-4 have been removed and Grap-3 is in force, the level of pollution in NCR should not fall further, hence people are requested to exercise strictness.
This decision has been taken after the improvement in AQI on Tuesday. AQI 378 was recorded on this day. CAQM said in an order that even though the restrictions of Group 4 have been removed, the restrictions of Phase 1, 2 and 3 will remain in force. People are requested to strictly follow the restrictions imposed under the first, second and fourth phases of GRAP so that the AQI does not deteriorate further.
Let us inform that it will be implemented, monitored and reviewed by all concerned agencies in NCR to ensure that the AQI level does not increase further in the coming days. The agencies will maintain close monitoring and especially intensify measures under Stage III, II and I of the existing GRAP so that there is no need to re-implement Stage IV of the existing GRAP in NCR and there is no increase in AQI levels.
