Consuming betel juice mixed with honey provides relief from sore throat and cough. Even today this home remedy is quite popular in rural areas. Betel leaf is also considered beneficial for oral health. The antibacterial elements present in it prevent bacteria from growing in the mouth, which reduces bad odor and gum problems.
