If your Gmail account doesn’t seem to be working properly today, you’re not alone.
D Official Status Dashboard Google Workspace advised that the issues began around 5 a.m. Pacific on Saturday, with users experiencing both “misclassification of emails in their inboxes and additional spam alerts.”
For me, this meant my primary inbox was full of messages that would normally appear in the Promotions, Social, or Updates inbox, and spam warnings were appearing on emails from known senders.
Other users have complained on social media “All spam goes straight to my inbox” And that seems to be Gmail’s filter “Suddenly collapsed completely.”
“We are actively working to resolve the issue,” Google said. “As always, we encourage users to follow standard best practices when engaging with messages from unknown senders.”
