Donald Trump Confusing Foreign Policy: Donald Trump’s confusing foreign policy is hurting Pakistanis. On one hand, they like to bring Pakistan on their ‘Peace Board’, on the other hand, they make strict rules when it comes to granting them visas.
America’s foreign policy is giving pain to Pakistanis. Donald Trump Pakistan Policy: Strange contradictions are often seen in America’s foreign policy, and the latest example of this is being seen with the sound of Donald Trump’s second term. On one hand, America has no qualms with Pakistan’s participation in important international forums like ‘Gaza Peace Board’, but when it comes to giving entry to Pakistani citizens in America, the rules of Trump administration become very strict. That is, the message is clear that ‘we need Pakistan in international politics, but we will not allow Pakistanis to enter our home (America) easily.’
The strict immigration rules implemented in America have increased the concern of Pakistan. To solve this problem, a high-level parliamentary delegation from Pakistan reached America this week. This group has strongly appealed to American lawmakers to remove their country from the ‘blacklist’ or ‘strictly monitored list’ of 75 countries whose citizens have to face tough times to get American visas.
Expressed pain in front of American lawmakers
According to Pakistani media outlet ‘Dawn’, this delegation was led by Senator Salim H. Mandviwala and Rana Mahmudul Hasan. Expressing his pain in front of American lawmakers, he said that this classification remains a major obstacle in the diplomatic relations between America and Pakistan.
it is a question of respect
Pakistani Senator Salim Mandviwala bluntly said in the meeting with American lawmakers, ‘Inclusion of Pakistan in the list of 75 countries whose citizens face visa problems is a serious issue. We hope that this will be resolved soon and Pakistan’s name will be removed from this list. This delegation included not only leaders but also Pakistani experts from trade and business sector, who went to tell that these restrictions are having a negative impact on the trade relations between the two countries.
American lawmakers assured help
This meeting took place in ‘Raeburn House Office Building’ in Washington. Prominent lawmakers like US Representative Ron Estes, Al Green, Tom Suozzi and Josh Gottheimer were present in it. During the conversation, US MP Al Green agreed to form a ‘Pakistan Strategic Bipartisan Caucus’. Its purpose is to increase strategic cooperation and dialogue between the parliaments of the two countries.
Distance created from Imran Khan factor
The interesting thing was that the Pakistani delegation described its visit as completely non-political. This was done because in recent times there was a lot of lobbying in America by supporters of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, due to which American officials were a little uncomfortable. The purpose of the American delegation was that they had come not for any party, but to solve the visa problems of the common citizens of the country (Pakistan).
