US President Donald Trump has indicated to further expand his strategy against drug cartels. After the attacks on ships linked to drug smuggling at sea, the Trump administration is now preparing for direct military action against the land bases of the cartels. Trump clearly said in an interview to Fox News that ‘Now we are going to launch an attack on the ground. Cartels run Mexico today. That means he is now talking about attacking Mexico directly in the name of drugs. This statement has come at a time when America recently arrested former Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro in a military operation and brought him to New York.
