This time, the government’s big idea is to attract the middle class more towards sports. The Finance Minister said, if it is possible to prepare the necessary equipment for various sports in India, then it will be profitable for the common people. The government can also give subsidies on sports equipment by taxing and giving discounts.
Nirmala Sitharaman said that the ‘Khelo India’ mission will bring major changes in the sports field of the country. Development of training centers, improvement of coaches and support staff will also be considered to facilitate the organization of the league. Besides, the budget has been increased for the development of sports infrastructure.
The Union Sports Minister said, ‘The goal of the government is to increase the income in the country’s sports sector. Job opportunities will be increased. It is proposed to launch the Khelo India Mission to radically change the sports landscape in the next decade.
