Meerut. The way the weather is changing in Meerut, adjacent to Delhi, it is directly impacting the health of the common people. The chances of small children falling ill in such weather increases significantly. What should parents do in such a situation? With these questions, Local 18 reached Dr. Navratna Gupta, a physician in the Pediatrics Department at Lala Lajpat Rai Medical College. Dr. Navratna says that in such weather, it is often seen that children start getting wet in the rain, due to which they face many problems including fever and cold. Parents should not let their children get wet at all in the rain. While sending children to school, wear masks, caps and warm clothes properly, so that they do not catch cold. Children often avoid warm clothes in this season citing the heat. This increases their chances of falling ill.

Keep these things in mind also

According to Dr. Navratna, children often insist on eating ice cream, cold drinks and various types of cold and junk food. The way the weather is at present, all these things are very harmful for health. Therefore, one should be careful while eating and drinking. Feed children only healthy homemade food.

Don’t become a doctor yourself

Dr. Navratna says that if children have cold, cough, fever or any other problem, then immediately consult the doctor related to their family or pediatric department. In the beginning it is quite easy to cover the disease. Many times parents try to become doctors themselves and try to get treatment through YouTube and other things. Don’t do this at all. This can be dangerous.
