New Delhi. Today marks 25 years since the release of James Cameron’s iconic film ‘Titanic’. This film created a stir at the box office at that time and the magic of this film continues even today. Kate Winslet, who played the lead role in this film, has made interesting revelations related to this film and her character in a recent interview. According to Kate Winslet, people had made different types of comments on the character of ‘Rose’ played by her in the film.

While participating in the ‘Happy Sad Confused’ podcast, Kate recalled the period of shooting and release of the film. She tells that at that time she was just starting her career, but the media and people had made various comments about her character and personal life, due to which she became quite disappointed. According to her, she was body-shamed a lot for the film.

‘Titanic’ The actress, who was nominated for an Academy Award for playing Rose in , has always been vocal about the cruel treatment of the media. “It was very disappointing for me to read all that about myself at that age,” she says.
Kate Winslet She adds, “Apparently, I was very fat. Isn’t that a terrible thing to say? Why were they so mean to me? If I could turn back time, I would have raised my voice in a completely different way. I would have told the journalists, don’t you dare treat me like that. I would have given a befitting reply to every question they had.”
