It has been found that due to lack of sleep, the enzymes inside the human body get reduced, due to which the biological balance gets disturbed and such diseases are affecting people because the tradition regarding sleeping which has been going on for millions of years, is now seeing a lot of change. People work all day long, in such a situation the body takes rest and recovers, but after work, people eat heavy food, stay awake till late night, party, drink alcohol, in such a situation there is a deficiency of melatonin in the body.
Madhav Prabhu, Professor of the Department of Medicine at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical University, Belgaum, tells Local 18 that in today’s time, heart, BP, sugar and cancer are related to lack of sleep, hence if every person wants to remain healthy, then he should focus on taking rest and sleeping on time. It is said in our scriptures that one should sleep after some time in the evening and wake up at 4:30 in the morning in Brahma Muhurta. By doing this, our enzyme called melatonin not only remains healthy, but many types of diseases caused by it can also be prevented. In the university, he did research on about 200 people and such results emerged.

He said that if we start sleeping normally, like sleeping by 10 pm and waking up by 4:30 to 5 am and we bring this into our routine, then due to this the enzyme called melatonin also starts increasing, that is, it starts recovering like before. It has been observed in young people i.e. swift workers that this enzyme is very disturbed because sometimes they work night shift and sometimes morning shift. Sometimes he has to come even in the afternoon, due to which everything goes wrong for him, but when he starts taking his sleep normally and as per the time, he gradually recovers.
Enzymes start decreasing with increasing age
It has also been observed in melatonin that as people age, this enzyme gradually decreases and they get less sleep. In such a situation, they have to take its tablet as a substitute to get enough sleep so that their levels can come back again. Today many people are troubled because of this, but if we start eating curd and rice in the afternoon, then due to the vitamins found in it, our melatonin gets corrected but curd and rice should not be eaten at night.
