Chhattisgarh scientists innovation: Scientists of Indira Gandhi Agricultural University, Raipur have developed betel tea at the Betel Research Center located in Chhuikhadan. This tea is rich in antioxidants and is considered beneficial in BP, sugar and digestive problems. This completely herbal tea is being made available in 12 tea bags for Rs 100 and 100 gram loose pack for Rs 200.
Raipur News: Betel tea developed by scientists of Indira Gandhi Agricultural University, Raipur is now becoming increasingly popular among health conscious people. This special betel tea is being prepared through the Betel Research Center located in Chhuikhadan, Chhattisgarh, which has been developed under the constant guidance of scientists. Experts say that this tea is very beneficial for taste as well as health and can prove helpful in many diseases.
Tea is helpful in controlling blood pressure and sugar.
Dr. Pushpa Parihar of Indira Gandhi Agricultural University, Raipur said that people are liking the taste of betel tea after drinking it for the first time. He said that in today’s era, people are not just looking for taste but are looking for products that maintain better health. In such times, betel tea has emerged as an excellent option. This tea is not only delicious but the natural properties present in it also make it healthy. According to Dr. Pushpa Parihar, betel tea is considered helpful in controlling blood pressure and sugar. Besides this, it is rich in antioxidants, which helps in increasing the immunity of the body. With regular consumption, it works to keep the body healthy from inside.
Very beneficial for digestive system
Dr. Bhagwat Prasad Asati, senior scientist of the Betel Research Center, Chhuikhadan, said that the main objective of preparing betel tea is to recognize betel not only as a mouth freshener but as a form of nutrition. He said that betel leaf is considered very beneficial for the digestive system and many essential nutrients including calcium and iron are found in it.
Relief from many stomach related problems
Dr. Asati told that in Sanatan Dharma also, betel leaf is considered a sacred plant and it also has religious significance. From scientific point of view, it has been developed as a herbal product so that it can be used in BP, diabetes and respiratory problems. Consuming betel tea daily can provide relief from many stomach related problems. He also informed that betel tea has been prepared completely in herbal way and no chemical has been used in it. Its aim is to provide a natural and safe health drink to the people.
Talking about the price, the price of 12 pieces of paan tea bags has been kept at Rs 100, while 100 grams of loose paan tea is being made available for Rs 200. This can be obtained through the Paan Research Center located at Chuikhadaan. Scientists believe that in future, betel tea can gain recognition as a health drink not only in Chhattisgarh but also in other parts of the country. This innovation will provide a new market to local agricultural products as well as inspire people to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
