Although non-Bengali, born and raised in Kharagpur. He had a keen interest in sports like bodybuilding and martial arts since his childhood.

There was once extraordinary skill especially in stick playing and handling various weapons. Perfectly maneuvered baton swings, attack and defense postures are still naturally captured in his body.

At present there is no decline in skill despite the weight of age. Even today he himself can play the stick in various ways. Not only stick, but also his expertise in swordsmanship is visible. Many were surprised by his movement, balance and focus.

But Shivaji Rao’s greatest joy in life now lies elsewhere. He is imparting his acquired knowledge and skills to the new generation. He regularly trained many boys and girls in the area to play stick. Along with physical fitness, he also taught them confidence and discipline.

He is also equally adept at painting in his spare time. The combination of art and physical activity is the meaning of his life. Shivaji Rao proved that age is just a number. With willpower, regular exercise and a positive mindset, aging is possible.
