Something similar happened in America, when the mother of Savannah Guthrie, anchor of a famous news channel Fox News, was kidnapped. Savannah is the presenter of the famous TV morning show ‘Today’ and she was soon going to cover the Winter Olympics. However, after the kidnapping of her mother, she has not only canceled her program, but she is also appealing through a video that her mother should be returned.
More than 8 days have passed since Savannah Guthrie’s 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie, went missing, but even after exerting all their might in a country like America, the FBI is still empty handed and has not found any clue yet. Savannah’s mother, Nancy Guthrie, was last seen at about 9:48 pm on January 31, when she arrived home after spending time with her daughter and son-in-law. A few hours later, the doorbell camera of his house stopped, then his pacemaker app also got disconnected.
Under what suspicious circumstances did the kidnapping take place?
Nancy Guthrie was unable to contact her family after that night. When she did not arrive at church the next day, the family went home and realized that Nancy was missing. A few drops of blood were found outside his house, which after forensic examination revealed that it was Nancy’s blood. Nancy Guthrie’s mobile phone and Apple Watch were still in the house, but the camera was missing. In such a situation, the police suspect that he has been kidnapped.
How much ransom is demanded?
The case of Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance reaches the police. However, the case became more mysterious when celebrity website TMZ and two local channels received ransom emails demanding millions of dollars (US$6 million) in Bitcoin. However, the police say that till now no suspect has come forward nor has any major lead been found in this case.
Savannah Guthrie appealed on social media
Savannah Guthrie canceled all her work assignments and is busy searching for her mother. After receiving the ransom mail, Savannah Guthrie made an emotional appeal on social media asking for proof that her mother was alive. She was sitting with her brother and sister in the video and has also said that she is ready to give the money but only if her mother is found safe.
