Birbhum: Tarapeeth is one of the Siddhapeeths of Sadhak Bamakshyapa located in Birbhum. Every day, thousands of visitors throng the Tarapeeth temple premises for the darshan of Mother Tara. Tarapeeth temple is located just 9 km away from Rampurhat station in Birbhum.
Tarapeeth is not the only place where mother’s darshan takes place. There are also Birchandrapur and Atla village in the birth place of Sadhak Bamakshyapa. As the popular pilgrimage site, Tarapeeth attracts thousands of devotees every day. That’s why many devotees feel that the Tarapeeth is actually the same as the cost of the hotel while the cost of the food is on the one hand. But it is not at all, for only 30 rupees you can eat your fill of vegetables and rice at Tarapeeth.

He said that for many years, he has been feeding the common people full of food for 30 rupees. His kitchen is open from six in the morning to two in the afternoon.
Not only is he serving vegetable rice for 30 taka, if anyone wants to cook something from him, he also does it for everyone. Dinesh Mitra, a visitor to Tarapeeth, told us that he comes to Tarapeeth about 15 to 20 times every year and after offering Puja to their mother, he eats the food of this kitchen and then goes back to his home. Although the food is cheap but the taste is incomparable.
