India’s next match in T20 World Cup 2026 is against Namibia on Thursday, February 12. After this, Maharan will be held between India and Pakistan on February 15 in Colombo.
Abhishek Sharma had some stomach problems after the first match against USA in T20 World Cup 2026. He accompanied Team India to a dinner party at head coach Gautam Gambhir’s house. But due to stomachache, he returned quickly from there. Later he was admitted to a hospital in Delhi.
Indian fans were worried by this news. Because Pakistan is scheduled to face India on February 15. But the relief is that Abhishek Sharma has been discharged from the hospital ahead of the big match.
The match between India and Namibia will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Thursday, February 12. Tilak Verma came to the press conference on Wednesday (today) and said that Abhishek Sharma has been discharged from the hospital today. He added, “There is still a day left for the match, so tomorrow we will see how he recovers, then a decision will be made about his game.”
The good news for Indian fans is that even if Abhishek Sharma does not play against Namibia on Thursday, he is almost certain to play against Pakistan in Colombo on February 15. Notably, Abhishek is known for his aggressive batting against Pakistan. He attacked Pakistan’s star pacer Shaheen Afridi in Asia Cup 2025. Salman Agar’s team must be cautious around Abhishek’s debut in T20 World Cup 2026 as well.
