New Delhi: Have you ever thought that such a time will come when a doctor sitting 1200 kilometers away will easily operate on the patient and the patient will remain healthy. This has become possible. Yes! Telesurgery has made this possible. Sir Ganga Ram Hospital located in the country’s capital Delhi has also created history by doing this. At number one is China, which revolutionized the medical world for the first time by operating on a patient through tele surgery while sitting 8000 kilometers away.
This is how tele surgery was done
The doctor told that the doctors from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and the hospital located at Vapi in Gujarat, from a distance of 1200 kilometers, i.e. both the hospitals together successfully performed this entire surgery. Four surgeries were done in a day through tele surgery, in which the first operation was for kidney related disease, in which there is obstruction in the flow of urine and swelling in the kidney. The second was of appendix. The third was of gallbladder and the fourth was of hernia. All four patients are healthy and have gone to their respective homes. The operation of all four was done through tele surgery.
Robots will perform surgeries on their own in the future
Urologist and Robotics Coordinator Dr. Ajay Sharma said that the medical world will change a lot in the coming times. Robotic surgery and telesurgery are progressing very fast. In such a situation, the doctor will only have to feed the complete information of the patient into the robot. After this the robot will perform the surgery itself. Right now, whether it is robotic surgery or tele surgery, the doctor has to do it, the only difference is that the help of robot and tele surgery is taken, but in the coming time, robots will do it themselves and robotic surgery will replace open surgery and has also started replacing it.
Let us tell you that robotic surgery and tele surgery are also important. Because in open surgery, the patient was operated through a long incision, due to which it took time for the patient to become stable. A small incision is made in this and the operation is done quickly.
