Additionally, Tibet is quite popular among tourists for its rich culture, incredible beauty, magnificent mountains, and rural environment. But apart from these there are some Tibetan dishes that are bound to blow your mind! Laughing is one of them. This is known as laughing or lapping or lapping. It literally means ‘cold noodle’, and is a very popular dish in China, Nepal and Tibet.

But Tibetan food is now matching this laughing In Siliguri. A shop called “Good Vibes” in the main town of Siliguri is overflowing with laughter. It is basically a cold noodle. This cold noodle is prepared with starch from mung bean, potato or wheat flour, then marinated overnight in a spicy mixture of soy sauce, red pepper, salt, vinegar, garlic oil and other ingredients. Then it is served with various ingredients. The crowd is overflowing in this shop to eat this laughing.

Shop owner Lakhpa Dorje said, “This is basically a Tibetan dish. It is very popular in China, Nepal as well. This dish is not available in Siliguri so we have brought it to everyone and people are very fond of this laughing. The price starts from just 60 rupees to 80 rupees.”

He further said, “Currently, we sell 50 to 60 plates of laughing a day. But we are hopeful that there will be more sales during the season. This is the only shop in Siliguri where Chicken Laughing is available. Today I am going to feed my friends from here laughing.”
