Maheshtala: Biryani shop in Maheshtla closed due to insects in biryani meat. A local youth buys biryani from a biryani shop called ‘Sadika’ at Chandannagar intersection under Maheshtala police station. Insects are found in his food. After that, the incident spread to Gote area.
According to sources, he bought food for home from a shop called ‘Sadika’. When they sit down to eat they see an insect moving in the biryani meat. Then several youths came to this biryani shop and started trouble.
After receiving the information, the police of Maheshtala police station reached the spot and brought the situation under control. Finally, the biryani shop was closed due to pressure from the locals. This is not the first such incident in Kolkata. Many times there have been incidents of finding insects or getting arshola in biryani. Nowadays, Biryani is very popular among Bengalis. And the local residents are angry about the incident of insects being found in that biryani.
