This controversy started when Obama gave a light answer to the question of aliens in a popular podcast. He said that the universe is so vast that the possibility of life outside the Earth cannot be ruled out. But he also clarified that during his presidency he did not find any evidence that aliens had contacted Earth. He also rejected conspiracies related to Area 51. Obama had said that many people believe that there are alien bodies or UFOs in Area 51. This is completely wrong.

What did Donald Trump say on aliens?

A few days after Obama’s statement, Trump, while talking to reporters on Air Force One during his visit to Georgia, said that Obama should not have made such things public. Trump claimed that this was sensitive information and it was a mistake to bring it out. However, he did not clarify what confidential information Obama revealed. Did Trump not like his statement on aliens or is he considering what Obama said about Area 51 as classified? Interestingly, when Trump was asked if he himself had ever seen any evidence of the existence of aliens, he said that he did not know whether they were real or not.

What is Area-51?

Area 51, which is being mentioned repeatedly in this debate, is a highly secret US Air Force base located in Nevada. For decades, conspiracy theories have linked it to alien bodies and crashed spaceships. But according to CIA documents released in 2013, this place was used for testing spy planes during the Cold War. The Pentagon has also investigated UFOs i.e. unidentified flying objects in recent years. In 2022, senior military officials said that they did not find any evidence to prove that aliens have visited Earth. A detailed report in 2024 also said that no evidence of alien technology has been found in any investigation since World War II. Most of the observed objects proved to be ordinary flying instruments, meteorological phenomena or technical illusions.
