On Thursday, February 19, a truck carrying liquid gas exploded in Santiago, Chile. Four people died and 17 were injured in this accident. It is reported that the driver of the truck had lost control. According to initial information, the driver is also among the dead. Due to the explosion, a huge gas cloud spread and the impact was felt for about 150–200 meters. At least 50 vehicles were damaged due to this. The Prosecutor’s Office has started investigation in this matter. At present, gas company Gasco has not given any comment yet.
