When autumn season comes, its fruit itself falls on the ground. Pine seeds emerge from this. In Uttarakhand, village children still collect these seeds and eat them. Even today, childhood memories are associated with these seeds. Their taste is slightly sweet in food. They have to be peeled and eaten like peanuts.

Collecting pine seeds is a very laborious task. Therefore, despite being tasty and nutritious as well as full of Ayurvedic properties, it has not been able to gain a good hold in the market because collecting it is a very difficult task. Its formation and deterioration completely depends on nature. Due to which it cannot be collected as per requirement. The seeds in pine fruits are less viable for a long time.

Ayurvedic physician Dr. Azel Patel explains that vitamins, minerals and antioxidants are found in pine seeds, which remove weakness of the body and are helpful in reducing swelling. Cough provides relief from cold. Increases immunity, it has antiseptic properties. They are traditionally used in wounds, skin infections and pain.
