Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh: Rinku Singh’s father Khanchandra Singh passed away in the middle of the World Cup. The cricketer’s father left the team and returned home to see him, but in the end, the cricketer’s father could not return from stage four cancer. In Aligarh, Rinku Singh was seen carrying his father’s body on his shoulders for the last rites. The video has gone viral on social media. Rinku Singh breathed his last after suffering from liver cancer at Jhartha Hospital in Greater Noida early on Friday morning.
According to hospital sources, he was suffering from fourth stage liver cancer. Recently his health deteriorated, due to which he was hospitalized. Rinku Singh returned home midway through the tournament after hearing about his father’s deteriorating health. Despite all the efforts of the doctors, the condition did not improve. He was on ventilator support for the last few days. Renal replacement therapy was also given to him. But that didn’t help either Rinku Singh’s father finally breathed his last

Virat Kohli also condoled the death of Rinku’s father. On the X handle, Kohli wrote, “Deeply saddened by the death of Rinku’s father. My heartfelt prayers and thoughts are with you and your family at this difficult time. May you always find strength in his blessings. Om Shanti.”

Rinku rushed home before the match against Zimbabwe at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. As his father’s physical condition deteriorated, he had to go home urgently.
It should be noted that Khanchandra Singh was fighting with cancer for quite some time. But recently he was admitted to Greater Noida Hospital as his condition worsened.
