US President Donald Trump has said that the worst outcome of the current conflict with Iran could be that a fundamentalist leadership again comes to power in Tehran. He also believed that exiled Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi could be an option during future political changes.
During a meeting with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in the Oval Office of the White House, Trump said that America’s main focus is on weakening Iran’s military strength. But along with this it is also being thought that if the current leadership falls then what will happen after that.
Trump said, ‘The worst case that can happen is that we do all this and then someone comes to power who is as bad as the first one.’ He said that it is important to avoid such a situation. Trump said that America wants that if the leadership in Iran changes, it should prove to be better for the common people, and not another radical government should be formed. He said, ‘We want such a leader to come there who will take the country in a better direction for the people. Now it has to be seen what people decide. They also have a chance.
When asked whether exiled Iranian Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi could become Iran’s future leader, Trump did not rule out the possibility. Trump said, ‘It is possible. Some people even like him. However, we have not thought much about this.
However, Trump also said that it is possible that a leader may emerge from within Iran who is more suitable. He said, ‘I think someone coming from inside the country can be more correct. “If there is someone who is popular in Iran at this time, it may be easier for him to take over the leadership.”
Trump also claimed that the recent military attacks have caused significant damage to Iran’s leadership structure. He said, ‘Most of the people we were thinking about are now dead. We thought about some people from that group, but they are now dead. Now we have another group. According to reports they may also be killed.
He said that the target of continuous military attacks is Iran’s leadership and its military structure. Trump said, ‘It seems that in the coming attacks, a time may soon come when it will be difficult for us to even recognize anyone there.’
On the other hand, German Chancellor Merz said that Berlin and Washington are unanimous that there is a need to consider what will happen after the current leadership in Tehran. “We’re on the same page in terms of removing this terrible regime in Tehran, and we’ll talk the next day about what happens if they leave,” Merz said.
The German leader said that Europe also wants to work together with the US in creating a comprehensive strategy for the region. “We are curious to know how the situation will be handled after the current regime,” he said.
It is noteworthy that in recent weeks, America has intensified its military operations targeting Iran’s military and nuclear infrastructure. Due to this, tension has increased significantly in the entire Middle East region.
