The new project, built with the financial support of the West Bengal Small Industries Development Corporation, was officially inaugurated. Many footballers have established themselves at the state and national level with regular training from here. However, due to the lack of infrastructure, they had to face the problem of changing clothes or toilet after practice.

Addressing the long-standing shortage, football coach Shukla Dey said, “The full development of players is not possible without proper infrastructure. The construction of these dressing rooms and toilets will benefit those who regularly sweat and practice here. It will be of great help in the upliftment of football in Kolaghat.” State Minister Biplab Roy Chowdhury said, “The state government is always determined to improve the quality of the game and search for talent. So that more and more footballers of different levels can emerge from this ground in Kolaghat, the emphasis is on infrastructure development.”
