If fruits are eaten at the right time, the body gets benefits, but eating them at the wrong time can also cause harm. Many people eat fruits on an empty stomach after waking up in the morning or before sleeping at night, which can be harmful for health.
Khargone’s Ayurvedic expert (MD) Dr. Santosh Maurya says that grapes are considered a fruit beneficial for health. It cools the body and is also helpful in many diseases. By eating grapes in summer, there is no shortage of water in the body. But, if it is consumed at the wrong time then it can also cause problems. Since, eating grapes on an empty stomach in the morning is not considered right. It can also cause problems like heaviness in the stomach, cold, cough or cough, hence it should be consumed at the right time only.
Should a diabetes patient eat grapes?
Dr. Maurya says that diabetes patients should take special care while eating grapes. Grapes contain high amount of natural sugar. If it is consumed in large quantities then the blood sugar level may increase. Such patients should eat grapes in limited quantities only. Also, one should avoid eating grapes on an empty stomach in the morning or at night. This can have adverse effects on the body.
What is the right time to eat grapes?
According to the doctor, the best time to eat grapes is considered to be afternoon or after dinner. At this time the digestive system of the body works better. In such a situation, eating grapes provides proper nutrition to the body. Grapes help in keeping the body hydrated during summer. It contains high amount of water, which reduces the risk of dehydration, hence consuming it at the right time is considered beneficial for the body.
Avoid eating these fruits on an empty stomach
Health expert Dr. Santosh Maurya also tells that apart from grapes, there are some other fruits which should not be eaten on an empty stomach in the morning. These include watermelon, banana, mango, orange and pineapple. Eating these fruits on an empty stomach can increase stomach related problems. Because, consuming these fruits on an empty stomach can cause stomach irritation, acidity, mouth ulcers, pimples on the face and digestive problems. In some cases, the sugar level of the body may also increase and the balance of magnesium may also get disturbed, hence fruits should be eaten at the right time and in limited quantity only.
