Symptoms of Sarcoma
The symptoms of sarcoma are so minor that it does not even occur to people that it can be cancer. In sarcoma, a slight lump or hardness is felt at some point under the skin in some part of the body. There may be pain or there may be no pain. These are so minor that sometimes they are visible when touched and sometimes they are not visible. That’s why people ignore it. But if this happens, you should immediately go to the doctor. It is not necessary that it be cancer but it is necessary to consult doctors. Apart from this, pain in bones can also be a symptom of sarcoma. In such a situation, bones can sometimes break without any reason. Sarcoma can sometimes also start with stomach pain. Sarcoma occurs when errors begin to occur in the instruction center of cells i.e. DNA. Normally DNA tells cells when to grow and when to die. But in cancer cells this DNA starts giving wrong instructions. Due to these wrong instructions, cancer cells start growing and spreading very fast. While normal cells die, these cancer cells survive, causing excess cells to accumulate in the body. When these cells gather in one place, they form a lump or hardness which is called a tumor. When cancer spreads in the body in this way, it is called metastatic cancer.

Who are at higher risk of sarcoma?
In some people, it is genetic, that is, if these diseases are passed from parents to children, then they can increase the risk of cancer in the future. Apart from this, if a person has ever taken radiation therapy for the treatment of any other cancer, then the risk of developing sarcoma may increase in the future. When there is a blockage or damage to the body’s lymphatic system (part of the immune system), swelling occurs in the body. This is called lymphedema. Because of this the risk of sarcoma called angiosarcoma increases. If there is infection with Human Herpes Virus 8, then the risk of sarcoma can also increase.
