A horrifying incident occurred near the University of Nebraska-Omaha on Tuesday afternoon. The university’s public safety cameras captured how the ground suddenly burst at the busy intersection of 67th and Pacific Streets and an SUV and a pickup truck parked there fell straight into the deep sinkhole. In this horrific accident that took place around 3:30 pm, the asphalt of the road collapsed like a deck of cards, due to which both the vehicles got stuck. Fortunately, the driver of the pickup truck himself managed to get out and with the help of eyewitnesses, he also pulled the SUV driver out safely, thereby averting a major loss of life. Officials believe that this accident may have happened due to bursting of water pipeline, and now with the help of crane, the work of repairing the road has been started by taking out the vehicles.
