Kanye has been accused of feeding only sushi to the children in his private school and locking them in the room. Additionally, he has been accused of violating several health and safety regulations. Kanye West runs a private Christian prep school in California. Several reports claimed that there are restrictions on cleaning services at the school, doors are locked from outside and students only get one sushi meal every day.
Cecilia Hailey and her daughter Chekare Byers said that during the time she worked at the school, the school was locked from the outside, forcing students to stay inside the room throughout the day, reports mirror.co.uk. The report also said that medicine was stored haphazardly in the school and there was no nurse.
Attorney Ron Zambrano, representing the teachers, said in a statement, “Kanye West is clearly as bad at running a school as he is at managing his personal and professional life. This creates an unsafe and illegal school environment for students. Kanye needs to understand that his talent is in music, not running a school.”
Children are not given complete food in school
As per the case, there are no chairs-tables for the students to sit, which means they have to sit on the floor to eat the mid-day meal. Apart from this, there are many other irregularities in the school. For example, crossword puzzles and paintings are not allowed to be hung on the walls and students are prohibited from going to the second floor. Because Kanye West was reportedly afraid of stairs.
Illegal educational practices at Kanye West’s school
Hailey and Byers complained to the principal of Donda Academy in early 2023 that the school was carrying out ‘unlawful educational practices’. According to the case, however, it is alleged that the principal described Byers and Haley as being ‘aggressive’ and that they facilitated (de)stereotypical attitudes toward African American women, which led to confrontation.
