Havana: Tension has increased between Cuba and America. The recent speedboat incident has added fuel to the fire of decades-old enmity. Cuba had attacked an American boat coming from America. 10 American citizens of Cuban origin were aboard this speed boat, out of which 4 were killed and 6 survived. Cuba claims that it has taken this action in fear of a terrorist attack, while America is furious. After this incident, questions are being raised whether the spark of war which was already smoldering will now become a fire?

Situation of war between US-Cuba

Cuba said that weapons and explosives have been recovered from the American speedboat which was attacked. Cuba considered it an attempt to attack and took action. On the other hand, America has become furious and is calling for an investigation, calling Cuba’s claims false. America got an old wound from Cuba

The story of the aerial conflict between Cuba and America dates back to 24 February 1996, when Cuban fighter planes shot down two unarmed civilian planes of the ‘Brothers to the Rescue’ organization with missiles in mid-air. Four people, including three American citizens, were killed in this attack, after which there was a stir in the whole world and America became red with anger.

Cuba claimed that these planes were entering its territory and dropping inflammatory leaflets, while international investigation revealed that they were targeted in international airspace itself. Today, the speedboat incident that took place in 2026 has healed the same wound of 30 years ago, which has once again created a war-like situation between the two countries.
