New Delhi: NEET Paper Leak Protest is increasing day by day in New Delhi. One by one, Sachin Tendulkar, Salman Khan, Yuvraj Singh, Shikhar Dhavnar posted on social media to stand by the students and demand a peaceful solution. This time the captain of the Indian men’s cricket team Shubman Gill has joined that list.
India’s Test and ODI captain Shubman Gill feels that his generation is entitled to every opportunity in the field of education. He wrote on social media, ‘As a young Indian myself, I feel our generation should have all the opportunities to learn, dream and shape the future as per their wish. I have a lot of respect for those young people who believe in expressing their opinions and raising their voices in peace.’
He further added, ‘Education has the power to build the future of our country. I hope the decision will be made with empathy, mutual respect and the best of all the students of the country and the future of India at heart.’
Apart from Gill, Sachin Tendulkar also opened up about the students’ movement yesterday in a net question-loop. Master Blaster posted a long post on social media. There he clearly mentions that his father was always against shortcuts. Sachin wrote, ‘My father was a professor. He was a mentor and guide to many younger students. What he taught in the beginning was, ‘It’s okay to fail. But it’s not cheating at all. Never take shortcuts.’
It does not end here. Sachin Saf wrote, ‘As adults in society it is our responsibility to create a culture. In a society that values results over effort, they will look for shortcuts more than merit. When students today say that their hard work is not being rewarded, it is quite understandable. Collectively we should do something so that they don’t feel like this anymore.’
