Harare: World champion in T20 cricket. But in that format, first Ireland and then England – two consecutive series had to be breakfasted Indian teamwho

After losing two consecutive T20 series, India finally turned around against Zimbabwe. Team India won the first match of the T20 series by defeating Zimbabwe by 7 wickets at the Harare Sports Club ground. The architect of the victory is Vaibhav Suryavanshi. Harare witnessed a new history. Bihar’s wonder Kishore scored a half-century in just 18 balls. All records were broken. The new world record was created by Vaibhav’s bat.

Zimbabwe bat first and make 125/7. In reply, India achieved the target by losing only 3 wickets with 40 balls remaining. The left-handed batsman Vaibhav cornered Zimbabwe’s bowling at the start by scoring 50 runs off 19 balls.

Vaibhav turned 15 years and 118 days on Thursday. Vaibhav broke Sachin Tendulkar’s record. None of the ICC full member nations have scored a half-century in international cricket at such a young age. So far this record was held by Sachin. Sachin was 16 years and 213 days old when he scored his half-century in the 1989 Test against Pakistan at Faisalabad. In 1996, Shahid Afridi scored a half-century against Sri Lanka in Nairobi at the age of 16 years and 214 days. All records were broken by Vaibhav’s bat. A new history is made.

None of the Associate Member Nations of the ICC has had such a young half-century in senior international cricket. In 2020, Nepal’s Kushal Malla scored a half-century against America after 16 years and 340 days.

A new milestone has also been created in T20 cricket. In 2021, Gibraltar’s Lewis Bruce scored a half-century against Malta at the age of 16 years and 56 days. That feat was overshadowed by glory. The Bihar teenager is now the youngest batsman to score a half-century in international T20 cricket.
