According to doctors, if some cancers are identified on time, the patient’s life can be saved through treatment.

Lung cancer causes the highest number of deaths every year.
Most Common Cancers in World: Cancer is considered the most deadly disease in the world. If cancer is not detected at the right time, then cancer spreads throughout the body and people lose their lives. There are many types of cancer and it can occur in any part of the body. Today cancer has become the world’s biggest health challenge. If we look at the figures of the World Health Organization (WHO), in the year 2020, about 1 crore people died worldwide due to cancer and in 2022 also the number of deaths was around 1 crore. Cancer patients are continuously increasing and the number of deaths is also increasing rapidly. According to statistics, cancer is becoming the cause of 1 out of every 6 deaths in the world. This is a very worrying situation.
Lung cancer is the most deadly
WHO data shows that lung cancer causes the most deaths. In the year 2020, about 18 lakh people died due to lung cancer. After this, the number of deaths due to colon-rectum, liver, stomach and breast cancer was highest. The surprising thing is that every year about 4 lakh children become victims of cancer, and different types of cancer are seen in different countries. Cervical cancer is the most common cancer in many countries.
Biggest risk factors for cancer
According to health experts, there are many factors behind cancer. Tobacco use, alcohol, obesity, poor eating habits, lack of physical activity and air pollution are major risk factors for cancer. According to WHO, about 30% of cancer deaths are related to these habits. Apart from this, infections like HPV, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C are also becoming major causes of cancer in many countries. The risk of cancer also increases with increasing age, because the body’s ability to repair cells weakens with time. However, it is a matter of relief that 30 to 50 percent of cancer can be prevented, if people improve their lifestyle in time and avoid risk factors.
