Anaya, who is a cricketer and trans-rights advocate, has long been open about her gender identity and transition journey. He said the decision to undergo surgery came after therapy and personal understanding.

He also said that he will undergo this gender-affirming surgery (vaginoplasty) in Thailand and will stay there for at least a month. He will not be able to play cricket for at least 6 months after the surgery.
