China has changed its defense technology so rapidly in the last few years that now even the Pentagon is surprised. Dragon now has missile systems and stealth fighter jets that can destroy American aircraft carriers and their bases in minutes. America is most afraid of China’s hypersonic missiles because they are almost impossible to track. China has also made its navy the largest navy in the world, which has strengthened its hold in the Pacific Ocean.

If ever there is a war, these ‘carrier killer’ weapons of China will prove to be the biggest headache for America. The range and speed of these weapons is so high that even the American defense systems ‘THAAD’ and ‘Patriot’ can fail in front of them. The world is now moving towards a new cold war where China’s missiles have the full power to disturb the global power balance.

China’s DF-17 missile is considered the most dangerous weapon in the world. This missile can fly five times faster than the speed of sound. Its biggest feature is that it can change its path in mid-air. America currently does not have any system that can stop such a fast and turning missile. It can directly target the American bases in Guam and Japan.

DF-21D which the world knows as ‘Carrier Killer’
America’s biggest strength is its giant aircraft carriers, but China has taken advantage of them. DF-21D is a ballistic missile which is designed to sink a moving ship. It is called ‘carrier killer’ because it can destroy American ships worth billions of dollars in one stroke. Due to the fear of this missile, the American Navy is now hesitant in coming near the shores of China.

China’s J-20 fighter jet is giving tough competition to America’s F-22 and F-35. It is a fifth generation fighter aircraft which is adept in dodging radar. China has used such technology in this that it can secretly enter the enemy territory and attack. To maintain its air superiority in the Pacific region, China is continuously increasing the number of these aircraft.

It has 112 vertical launch system cells which can fire multiple missiles simultaneously. This ship is not only capable of attacking but also protects the Chinese fleet like a strong shield.

Anti satellite weapons that can wreak havoc in space
China has made missiles that can destroy American satellites in space. If China destroys America’s GPS or communication satellites, the American military will be blinded. Without satellite support, America’s missiles and drones will stop working. This is a threat which remains the biggest challenge for America to deal with.
